Flower + Plant Delivery Policy

Our Flower + Plant Delivery Policy

Each and every order is delivered with great care and every effort is made to ensure that your delivery is completed in a timely manner and within reasonably requested timeframes.

Q: Can I order for same-day delivery?

A: Most of our flower designs can be delivered the same day or next-day. We do our best to accommodate last minute orders and orders outside of our delivery schedule. Please call to connect with these inquiries.

To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the "Special Instructions" field during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least 5 to 7 days in advance.

Q: How much is flower delivery?

A: A $12 delivery fee applies within Guelph. Surrounding areas will be quoted based on kms (typically $22). Free delivery applies for order over $150 within Guelph.

Q: Can I place an order for pick up?

A: Yes, definitely! Please place your order online and select "Store Pick Up". As our shop is a busy space with lots going on, we will need to know the time you'll be coming by to pick up your order so we can have it ready for you. We request that orders be paid in full prior to pick up. All flower order pick ups begin at 11am.

Q: Do you deliver to Hospitals and other healthcare facilities?

A: We sure do! When placing your order, please be sure to include the hospital name and telephone number, the name of the recipient and room number or ward of the recipient, if known.

We will send your order in accordance with facility procedures, making substitutions for heavily scented blooms such as lilies and garden roses. Please note that many ICU patients are not permitted to receive flowers. Please check with the hospital before placing your order.

Q: What if the recipient is not home when you attempt delivery?

If you have specific instructions for the delivery of your flowers, please note them in the 'Special Delivery Instructions' field during checkout. In all other cases, if the recipient is not at home when we attempt delivery, we will either:

    • Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time, additional charges will apply for a second delivery attempt
    • Leave the arrangement in a covered, secure area of the home (porch, garage, or other entrance)
    • Leave the bouquet with a neighbour and place a message on the recipient's door with this information
    • Please note: in the Winter months, flowers cannot be left outside if the temperature is below 0 degrees C.

Q: What happens if you don't have the exact flowers in the shop that I am looking for?

A: We have flowers arriving daily, fresh from our growers. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers are necessary due to seasonal availability and quality. If this is the case with the arrangement you've selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and colour scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.

For example, if you're looking for peonies in January, they are out of season. We will substitute a beautiful garden rose, ranunculus, or similar to ensure you still get the pretty blooms you're looking for.

Q: How do I look after my flowers or new plant?

A: We send care cards along with each flower or plant delivery. You can also reference the instructions here. These cards detail specific care instructions for the type of arrangement/bouquet/plant that you have received! If you have any questions that are not answered on your care card, feel free to get in touch - hello@shopsundayblooms.com
